Synopsis

Knives Out is a murder mystery film written, produced, and directed by Rian Craig Johnson who’s famous for always using a mafia or crime syndicate as core of his plot. You might see several familiar faces in this film, such as Daniel Craig and Chris Evans, playing important roles in this film.
This film tells a story about the death of a famous writer named Harlan Thrombey. His peculiar death brings a well-known detective, Blanc, to Harlan’s house for investigation.
Blanc’s investigation starts with Harlan’s dysfunctional family.
In this movie, we can see stories from different point of views, from each of the family members. This movie seems to give us pieces of puzzle, it keeps us guessing about the truth of Harlan’s death. When you think you know what’s happening, the movie will surprise you with more plot twist.
The movie will keep you on the edge of your seat. Everything that happened will make you excited to know what could happen next.
This movie is perfect for mystery movie lovers, because this movie will definitely makes you turn those gears inside your head. But, if you like the type of movies that’s lighter, maybe this movie isn’t for you.
The feeling I get when I watch this movie is pretty similar with Murder on Orient Express. Both films rotated around the investigation of a murder by a detective.
Thoroughly, Knives Out is a very interesting film with an interesting plot that tickles your mind.
